Privacy Policy — GEO Readiness Inspector

The AuraCite GEO Readiness Inspector is a privacy-light developer / SEO browser extension.

What it does

When you click the extension icon on a website tab, it reads public on-page signals from that one tab (page title, meta description, headings, canonical link, OpenGraph tags, and JSON-LD schema) and fetches that site's own public robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt. It computes a local readiness indication entirely inside your browser.

What it does NOT do

• It does not send your browsing history, the page contents, or the computed result to AuraCite or any third party.
• It does not track you across sites, set tracking cookies, or run in the background. It reads the active tab only, and only when you click the icon.
• It does not query any AI engine, DataForSEO, or paid provider.

Data leaving your browser

The only network requests are:

• Fetching the current site's own robots.txt / sitemap.xml / llms.txt (the same requests your browser already makes).
• When you click a button, opening an AuraCite link (auracite.de/free-brand-check or auracite.de/geo-report/…) in a new tab, with UTM parameters for attribution. No personal data is included.

Permissions

• activeTab + scripting — read the current tab's DOM and fetch that site's own robots.txt / sitemap.xml / llms.txt, only on your click. The access is temporary and limited to the active tab's site; it ends when you navigate away.
• No host permissions are requested at install time, and no broad site access is granted.

Data collection

This extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal or usage data. There is no analytics, no remote logging, and no account.
